Position Responsibilities:
Day to day activities: The Senior Software Quality Assurance Technical Analyst will be responsible for implementing Software Quality Assurance best practices as it supports The Sherwin-Williams Company. This includes an ongoing analysis of best practices and tools to be used by the QA team. This individual is responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with the Business Owners/Customers within all areas of Sherwin-Williams. It is expected that this individual will work closely with the Software Development Teams, Database Administration Teams and the Business Owners as needed to obtain testing specifications and deliver software testing results. This individual will also assist as needed on any project where Software QA assistance is requested. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Provide technical leadership to the Software Quality Assurance Team in testing best practices and use of software testing tools · Be the primary proactive mentor to the Quality Assurance Team in technical skills in the following HP testing tools: LoadRunner, Quality Center, Quick Test Pro, and Business Process Testing · Perform load testing and associated reporting on web sites, web applications, Oracle applications and other software applications within The Sherwin-Williams Company · Be the primary person on the QA team to interact with HP on the maintenance, trouble-shooting, and upgrades of the HP testing tools · Assist the QA section leaders in their testing efforts on Oracle, Web, and non-Oracle projects, maintenance, and implementations · Perform QuickTestPro technical and operational training for business subject matter experts as needed · Create automated test scripts and perform automated regression testing to assist with Oracle, Web and non-Oracle projects as needed · Assist in the manual, functional, automated, and regression testing for Oracle, Web and non-Oracle projects as needed to ensure product integrity and quality · Ensure all defects are recorded, reported, tracked, and processed in Quality Center · Perform configuration and system administration of all of the HP testing tools
Experience Required:
· Demonstrated journeyman proficiency with the Hewlett-Packard testing tools LoadRunner, Quality Center, BPT and QuickTestPro · Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the various Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite of applications. Knowledge and proficiency with the Macintosh operating system is a plus · Testing: Functional, Black box/White box, Back-End, GUI, Unit, System Integration and Regression, web/client server, Defect tracking and reporting, Business requirement/system specification analysis, Test plan formulation/testing methodologies · Experience in software quality assurance, software test planning, and software test execution · Personal and professional traits: self-starter, multi-task oriented, excellent attention to detail, independent polished communication & teaming skills, ability to maintain composure in contentious situations · Must be an effective chairperson for small meetings. · Must be an effective presenter or instructor for presentations or training when you have little or no familiarity with those in attendance · Daily experience with HP Business Process Testing for Quality Center would be a significant plus
Education Required:
· Bachelors Degree with 4-7 years related work experience. Associate degree plus 7-10 years of related work experience accepted in lieu of Bachelors Degree
