The Company’s recruitment strategy continues to focus on hiring a talented pool of employees. Our Recruitment Teams utilize diverse sourcing strategies and build relationships to attract a diverse pool of candidates that reflect the communities we serve.
Learning and Development
Sherwin-Williams provides learning opportunities to ensure that employees have the skills and tools they need to succeed in an inclusive work environment. High-performing, diverse employees are offered leadership courses as they rise through the ranks. Management also participates in a development program with education on the value of diversity and ways to create an inclusive work environment.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
ERGs are voluntary, employee-driven groups organized around a particular shared interest, characteristic, or experience. Sherwin-Williams recognizes that these groups have benefits for both the Company and its employees.
The Company supports and encourages employee participation in ERGs. Below is a description of two of our successful groups:
- Women’s Resource Groups
These groups focus on fostering the growth of women within Sherwin-Williams through networking events, recognition programs, professional development, and career advancement opportunities. The groups also host an annual Women’s Leadership Conference.
- Employee Diversity Network
This group's mission is to create an inclusive environment that fosters the growth of multicultural and diverse employees within Sherwin-Williams through networking, professional development and leadership opportunities. Examples of events held include, “Lunch and Learns” throughout the year.
Employee Engagement Survey
Our employee engagement survey gathers feedback on our diversity and inclusion practices and encourages important discussions about our employees’ identification with, and commitment to, our Company.
Through recruitment of talent, education, employee engagement, and internal/external collaborations on diversity initiatives, we reinforce our Guiding Values.
