CLEVELAND, OHIO-THE BREEN TECHNOLOGY CENTER (BTC)
Primarily responsible for developing innovative processes and products for Sherwin-Williams' architectural brands (including, but not limited to: Sherwin Williams, Dutch Boy, Pratt & Lambert, and Martin Senour.) In addition, long-term research and polymer development initiatives allow BTC to support innovative products across other divisions within the company. Our technical talent experiences the thrill of discovery and problem solving in such of areas as product development, coatings research, color technology, and process engineering.

AWSTC houses the R&D technical organizations of Chemical Coatings and Protective and Marine as well as the Chemical Coatings Design Engineering Group.
Chemical Coatings - Our technical organization's work impacts many different market places. Our team of technicians, chemists and scientists are committed to developing innovative products that are used in the heavy equipment, metal and wood furniture, metal building products, and electronics industries. They even work with our own US Military! Additionally, we have a design-engineering group that works in conjunction with our technical staff, sales organization and our customers.
Protective and Marine - Our team of engineers, chemists and technicians are involved in the exciting work of new product development, product line maintenance and improvement, coatings research and testing, color development and process engineering. The specialized coatings developed here are used to beautify and protect the nation's infrastructure in applications as varied as bridge coatings, chemical tank linings, stadiums, structural steel, concrete coatings, manufacturing facilities and numerous others.
