Diversity Initiatives- Sherwin-Williams promotes awareness through internal Diversity websites, Diversity Awareness communications and various networking events. Also, our dedicated Recruiters actively recruit at diverse universities and career fairs and through diverse magazines and websites. Through education, recruitment of talent, employee development and internal/external collaborations on diversity-related initiatives, we reinforce our Guiding Values.

Diversity Awareness Training- As part of our overall diversity strategy, Sherwin-Williams offers training to ensure that employees have the skills and tools they need to operate effectively in an inclusive environment.
In our Paint Stores Group, diversity training is available to all 19,000 field managers and employees.
For field managers, training is conducted in a classroom setting by internal facilitators and consists of diversity awareness, self-awareness and skill-building, focusing on the following key areas:
- The Business Case for Diversity and Inclusion
- Cultural Differences and Similarities
- Diversity Self-Assessment
- Personal Action Planning
Field employees receive the same training through an interactive CD-ROM.
Training also includes viewing a customized Sherwin-Williams video in which field and management employees share their perspectives on diversity and its value to our customers, the community, other employees and our business.
